... before heading off for quite a long walk through the back streets of Venice for a concert in the beautiful Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Miracoli.

A small but appreciative audience came to listen to us on this very hot night, after which we headed off again to complete our trek across the island of Venice.

Sunday 18 September - We then headed south to our next base in Montecatini Terme, a small spa town to the south of the Appennine Mountains, which also happened to be hosting the Miss Italia 2011 contest while we were there.
However, we were too busy to notice as we rehearsed in the hotel dining room and then spent the next day being tourists in Florence.

Tuesday 20 September
- For our next concert in yet another stunning building, Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata, we were hosted and joined by Coro Mons. Cosimo Balducci as part of their regular concert series in San Miniato.
